Great commentary from Rob Markham on the next iteration of the morning show at Hot 97 which turned out not to be the new morning show at all.
This YouTube video description – -“After firing the Ebro in the Morning crew, Hot 97 trolled NYC by announcing new Atlanta radio hosts. Rob Markman explains his disappointment in how the new show was promoted.”
What might be the plan for Hot 97? Quite frankly throwing out names like Rory and Mal, Joe Budden (been there, done that), or Desus & Mero; is just talk given the current state of corporately owned radio. At this point the Hot 97 programming and owner MediaCo may look to midday host DJ Drewski to head up the station’s morning show after Funk Flex held down the fort for four days. This would make the internet trolls happy. The ones that criticize Hot 97 for not breaking new music or playing New York hip hop artists.
