>‘Interactive One’ launches 3 new sites
The three new sites are NewsOne, TheUrbanDaily, a gossip site and HelloBeautiful, which will “celebrate the lives and style of African-American women.” Of the three sites, HelloBeautiful looks like it has the potential to bring some unique content to the internet. In April, Radio One’s “Interactive One” paid $38 million for Community Connect Inc., and it’s sites BlackPlanet.com, MiGente.com and AsianAve.com. Also included in Radio One’s web portfolio is Black America Web.com as a part of the Tom Joyner/Reach Media deal several years ago.
