Loud Radio PA is a Pennsylvania-based radio network that airs a rhythmic Top 40 and hip-hop format. Its stations include LOUD 106.9/99.5 in the Lehigh Valley, LOUD 98.5 in Reading, LOUD 103.7 in Northeast PA, and LOUD 101.5 in State College. Brand manager DJ Grooves addressed listeners on social media to explain recent changes to the morning lineup, including the replacement of Ebro in the Morning with The Breakfast Club. He also acknowledged recent studio upgrades, noting that the transition did not go as smoothly as planned.
Here’s DJ Grooves’ statement:
When our team launched LOUD Radio in 2017, I committed to always being fully transparent with our listeners.
Before I give you an overly complicated explanation about what happened with our previous morning show, let me just say: the decision to drop Ebro In the Morning was not ours. We received an unsolicited cancellation notice from their syndicator in late December and were given just 7 days to find an alternative.
When that cancellation took place our Pennsylvania-based team sprang into action. We decided that the transitional time between morning shows was the right time to convert a currently unoccupied studio space into our own. That came with a myriad of challenges, especially over the holidays and during several multi-day winter storms. From a small fire to equipment shipping delays to installing satellite equipment, it’s been a challenging few weeks. You might’ve heard some blips, dropouts, and even the occasional TV show theme songs as we completed our studio upgrades.
I understand change is difficult when it involves your daily listening routine. As of Tuesday, February 3rd, our new on-air lineup debuts in totality, anchored by The Breakfast Club. You’ll hear all the same local voices you’ve gotten to know, along with a few new ones.
In closing, show grace to locally owned businesses of any kind in 2026. We’re all out here navigating new operational challenges, increased vendor costs, and economic uncertainty. Combine that with the daily social media grind, where the algorithm rewards negativity. Nothing is as simple as what it appears without context.
Your support of our brands across Pennsylvania and our advertising partners is not taken for granted. Even if you spend just a small part of your week with us, thanks for getting LOUD.
