Ed Lover and Jonesy in the Morning “Miss Jones” Exit 94.7 The Block

Ed Lover and Miss Jones also known as “Jonesy” have both exited Audacy’s New York rhythmic throwback station “94.7 The Block” (WXBK FM). Their departures from the station came as a surprise unlike the recent exit of Ebro in the Morning at Hot 97. Audacy has yet to name a replacement for either host or if broader programming changes for the station is on the way. Unlike the members of Ebro in the Morning on Hot 97, Ed Lover and Tarsha Jones have been quiet on social media.

Miss Jones had been hosting the station’s morning show since August 2022, anchoring the key wake-up daypart. Ed Lover, whose “Ed Lover Experience” was carried in evenings from 7-10pm on WXBK as part of Audacy’s syndication network to other markets (Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle, and Las Vegas); was added to The Block in 2022. At the present time the station features Cipha Sounds as midday host and Shelley Wade in the afternoons.

Both Miss Jones and Ed lover have hosted morning shows on Hot 97, however the likelihood that either will resurface at that station are slim. As for 94.7 The Block, this programming shakeup could lead to major changes for the format and the future of the station going into 2026.
