Keith McPherson has announced publicly that he is ending his run as WFAN’s full-time nighttime host after about four years, citing personal reasons and family schedule conflicts. McPherson indicated he would share more details about what comes next at a later time.
McPherson joined Sports Radio 101.9/660 WFAN The Fan as Steve Somers’ replacement following the longtime and legendary host’s retirement from radio in 2021. He shared the news so nobody else could “hijack the story” with falsities about his departure.
“Good morning and happy Monday, I’d like to break some news before anybody else can break my news, I am officially done as a nighttime host at WFAN. It has been four calendar years.” McPherson last show as a full time host was last Friday. He may be back to do some nights and do some part-time fill-in spots on the station.
