The most mysterious personality in radio has left the industry again. KDAY 93.5 the Beat Los Angeles night show host Theo Mizuhara is no longer with the station. Theo was program director until recently and the host of “After Hours with Theo” at KDAY.
Theo was a major personality in the 90’s at KMEL in the Bay Area then at the legendary “No Colors Lines” 92.3 The Beat in LA. The station that helped launched the careers of Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and NWA. He also gained notoriety as the “The Voice of the Radio DJ” in the film Waiting to Exhale. Theo had completely dropped out of sight from about 2001 to 2006.

One of the most popular and mysterious personalities in the history of radio has not been on the air for more than 10 years. The story above on Theo is one of our most popular post. We posted it in 2009 on urbanradionation/blogspot (our previous site).

Well worth the look back.
