Whitman-Walker Clinic’s Max Robinson Center is named after the nation’s first African-American network news anchor(on ABC World News Tonight), Max Robinson, who died of AIDS in 1988. Prior to his groundbreaking position with ABC News, Robinson was a local anchor in Washington, D.C. Noted author and activist Randall Robinson is his brother.
