Bill Maher ended this season’s Real Time with a half hour interview with both Jay-Z and journalist Bill Moyers. While many probably tuned in to hear the Jay-Z interview, it was Bill Moyers who re-affirmed the progressive and Democratic mission of America. Moyers, one of very few in the media that actually tells the truth about America, said, “What Obama needs right now is a movement of Progressives who’ll say to him: We voted for an end to the war in Iraq. We voted for health care for everyone, we voted to put our house in order and we want you to do it and that’s what it would take.”
Meanwhile Jay-Z re-affirms his less than complimentary take on the music and entertainment industry. He continues to promote his swagger of “the one” who was able to move beyond drug dealing in the projects and beat the system; while commenting on the similarities in both worlds.
Both interviews are excellent.
