Pittsburgh’s WAMO 106.7 FM is stopping the music to address yet another very serious topic; Do We Take Our Right To Vote For Granted? Why Is This Election Historical? Tonight from 8:00-10:00 pm a panel of distinguished guest from the Pittsburgh community and WAMO’s own Anji, J-Kruz and Kode Wred will be discussing why our young people need to exercise their right to vote.
Guest speakers include Tene Croom, Director of New for American Urban Radio Networks, Jonas Chaney, Public Affairs Director for WPXI, Roxanne Banks-Williams, Education/Training Director for the PA League of Young Voters, Celeste Taylor, Vice Chair, B-Pep and William Thompkins, Director of Outreach for the Pittsburgh Project.
WAMO’s “Stop the Music to Stop the Violence” was a 2008 Air Award Winner for Best Station Sponsored Community Event.
