When was the last time Robert Griffin III had a real conversation in his household? Probably never.
THE LATEST: Robert Griffin III Tells Ryan Clark That He Crossed a Line READ more>>
Marcellus Wiley comes at Ryan Clark for his take on the Robert Griffin social media post. Does he have a point?
Marcellus Wiley @marcelluswiley May 20
The Apocalypse is upon us…@Realrclark25 has a child with a white woman and has the audacity to question the blackness of
@RGIII who is married to a white woman all over a damn foul.
Talking about Wives….Now, that’s FOUL!
Robert Griffin III is the master click chaser and gaslighter. He needed someone to really explain to him how social media will take this incident and run with it. He has contributed to it by saying Angel Reese hates Caitlin Clark.
Torrey Smith @TorreySmithWR May 17
That's a reckless statement assuming that someone hates the other. Considering how racist folks have been towards Angel. She doesn't hate her, if she did, she would say it. She is authentic and a competitor. Saying she doesn't like her wouldn't be the end of the world.
Ryan Clark @Realrclark25 May 19
RGIII saying he could recognize “hate when ‘he’ see(s) it”, when referring to Angel Reese’s feelings toward Caitlin Clark was irresponsible, but not at all surprising. Clark’s the biggest star in women’s basketball, & deservedly so. No need to beat up Reese to add shine to it.
RGIII plays into the narrative that Reese is the villain of Clark’s hero origin story. Now, Oberman & Portnoy, who berated Reese in college, have an ally in Griffin. Add him to the list of black men who’ve adopted the corny trend of denigrating black women to affirm their choices.
At the end of the day IT'S A LEGIT BASKETBALL PLAY. But RGIII is a joke for fueling racist views. (He's just looking for clicks and views) Don't know who's worst - him or Jason Whitlock who said: "Angel Reese epitomizes the power granted angry black women, a power being abused to produce negative outcomes. We’ve erected a system that rationalizes and rewards the irresponsible and angry behavior of black women and exaggerates their contributions to success." Whitlock you got all of that from a play that was called a flagrant foul on Clark?
Now for some legitimate takes on the play.
Kelsey Nicole Nelson (KNN) @therealknelson May 18
Let’s please stop this irresponsible narrative. Caitlin Clark was the aggressor in the hard foul on Angel Reese. Angel obv. didn’t like the flagrant foul and let her know. It’s competitive play. They have both been on record saying they respect each other’s game as competitors.
Torrey Smith @TorreySmithWR May 18
There is a reason why they call it a flagrant foul. Every NBA player (and open gym player) has a reaction to a flagrant foul. We've seen it all year. None of those dudes get accused of hating anyone except Draymond Green. Why aren't we saying CC hates Angel?
Marc Lamont Hill @marclamonthill May 17
From what I can tell, Caitlin Clark’s foul on Angel Reese looked quite ordinary. It was also the right basketball play. It seems like Angel overreacted. Maybe it was just her competitive spirit, but I don’t know why she wouldn’t expect to get fouled in that situation.
Mike Hill @ItsMikeHill May 17
Yes, Angel Reese overreacted but so are many of y’all. It’s BASKETBALL. Stop using it as an excuse to weaponize your racism.
