Michel Wright New Midday Host at Majic 102.3

Veteran Washington, D.C. radio host Michel Wright has taken over the  midday hosting chair at Radio One’s Majic 102.3 (WMMJ) according to DCRTV. She hits the airwaves on Tuesday, July 29th. Michel was a long time host on 95.5 WPGC going all the way back to her days in the 90’s when she co-hosted with Doug Gilmore. Who Sounds Most “Like Washington”?, You Decide The contest dubbed “Washington’s Next Big Voice” has been going on since March when syndicated personality Michael Baisden was not able to reach a contract with Cumulus Media. Not only did the Baisden show disappear from the airwaves of WHUR, it closed shop across the country. The Station That Sounds Like Washington Goes Local in the Afternoon Howard University’s Urban AC station 96.3 WHUR has decided not to pick up the new syndicated Michael Baisden replacement program with Skip Murphy and Jasmine Sanders. Troy Johnson signs on with CBS’ new Washington, D.C. all-news station WNEW, 99.1 FM, as a news anchor.
