> Porsche Foxx, former midday host at CBS Radio’s Atlanta urban radio station V-103 (WVEE), tells Rodney Ho of the Atlanta Journal Constitution that she left the station amicably, that it had nothing to do with drugs or alcohol. She did say she discovered a lump in her left breast three weeks before she left V-103. She said she lacked “support” from the station management. >Radio One Will Pull the Plug On Smooth Jazz in Atlanta

> Radio One/Atlanta has dismissed the remaining local air talent of its longtime smooth jazz property, 107.5 WJZZ. Program Director Dave Kosh and air talent Greg Fitzgerald have exited. Radio One will abandon the smooth jazz format for Urban AC. The station at the moment is still playing smooth jazz music. Speculation has it that Steve Harvey will headline the new format at 107.5 FM. At the moment, Steve Harvey is the morning show over at Radio One’s Grown Folks Radio 102.5. > Midday host Porsche Foxx (nee Stephanie Calhoun) has been let go by V-103 Atlanta (WVEE) once again. In July 2007 Foxx returned to V-103 following her departure from the station in early 2005 as the afternoon host at the station. Back in December 2004 she was arrested for a DUI with marijuana possession and driving without a license. She served some jail time, entered rehab, and paid some fines. There was even a suspicious fire at her home during the time period she was off the air.
