Snoop THANKS the LA Community for Support (Wildfires)
Many Black people say they are done with Snoop and Nelly! But what are they going to do about it?
The fact that Snoop and Nelly are entertainers and have never been political at any point of their career, must fall in line with "Democratic Party" and "Liberal" talking points, is such a terrible take. At the end of the day Snoop and Nelly are independent contractors who employ people. Who is Keith Boykin to say that their appearance is a dishonor to the Black community? Was not the 1994 crime bill sponsored by Biden and signed by Clinton a dishonor to the Black community? Perhaps Nelly and Snoop are fostering healing that many feel must be done. A coming together. (Perhaps...)
Toure weighing in on some of the criticism they've faced for the move and says he sees the rappers as "apolitical artists" and that he thinks their performances are "more about capitalism than politics."
The problems is, as has been said over 60 years ago by Malcom X; Black people need to stop looking to entertainers to be social and political leaders.
Comments from Social Media: Media personality Jacque Reid:

Meanwhile the clueless Mayor of Philly and the City Council had no idea what was going on. "They called it a curveball."
New football stadium in Washington, D.C. on the way?
Media giant COMCAST did not think the Sixers ownership group could get approval for a Center City arena. Well, the group led by Josh Harris (HBSE - Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment) did about four weeks ago. (Some say the Sixers financially influenced some city officials allegedly.)
This development brought the two sides together at a Washington Commanders game. HBSE also owns the NFL franchise. At the meeting was NBA Commissioner Adam Silver. Sources say NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell was involved with the Sixers new arena negotiations as well. 🤔 What does he have to do with pro basketball?
Josh Harris wants a new football stadium for the Commanders. COMCAST NBC just paid a record $27 billion dollars for the rights to broadcast NBA games in 2026. The bottom line is this: The mayor of Philadelphia and the council were used as pawns in this entire arena saga. Josh Harris had no choice but to come to the table if he wants a new football stadium on the site of RFK Stadium. That is now likely to happen. Watch the video section above. Demolition is set for Monday.
Relevant comment from social media: "Two billionaires waste city resources and working class folk’s time on their petty business dispute. Case closed."
"Those poor people in Chinatown got put through all this bullsh*t. I feel terribly sorry for them."
