Several sources are reporting: Disney, Fox and Warner Bros. Discovery have called off plans to launch their sports streaming service Venu, which was first announced in February. The streaming service would have combined live sports of Fox Sports, FS1, WBD's TNT, TBS, and truTV along with Disney owned ESPN, ESPN+, SEC & ACC Networks and more.
Earlier this week, Fubo TV settled a lawsuit against VENU, with Disney becoming 70% owner of the Fubo.
"After careful consideration, we have collectively agreed to discontinue the Venu Sports joint venture," the companies said.

Perkins announced in December that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. The NBC4 morning anchor, Washington, D.C. media personality, and co-host on The Donnie Simpson Show for many years will take a few weeks off from the anchor desk in January to recover from surgery.
He said, “I’ll be back, and I’ve promised to be transparent about my journey in the hope of helping others and raising awareness about the importance of screening.”
