Big shake up at the second largest radio company in the country after iHeartRadio

Audacy has announced a leadership transition under which David J. Field is stepping down as President and Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) and as a member of the Board of Directors (“Board”). The Company’s Board has appointed Kelli Turner, current Audacy Board member, as interim President and CEO, effective immediately. 

The Board has commenced a search for a permanent CEO. Mr. Field will continue to serve in a new position as Special Advisor to the CEO and the Board.

Sources are reporting that (Drake's boy) DJ Akademiks has been banned from Twitch and Happy Dad (a sponsor) has cut ties with him, Stake (another sponsor) has also unfollowed him, this comes after Akademiks was exposed for grooming a 15 year old boy. 

Hot 97's Rosenberg on social media: "I tried to tell the world about this guy after he attacked the women in my life for no reason... asked his viewers to find videos of my wife... said he would pay for anyone who could supply info... absolutely revolting and dangerous  behavior."

Great news for Black People as ESPN is going to broadcast a game with just BLACK PEOPLE! On air and behind the scenes. Just what WE need. (Most likely to be a historical Black History moment that kids will study in school for years to come.)

ESPN’s ongoing celebration of Black History Always will feature the inaugural all-Black staffed NBA game broadcast on Wednesday, February 5, at 7 p.m. ET as the Atlanta Hawks host the San Antonio Spurs on ESPN. 

ESPN will partner with Clark Atlanta University to give a behind-the-scenes look of ESPN’s mobile units on site to the students of the university’s Mass Media program ahead of the game.

The Golden State Warriors will retire Andre Iguodala’s No. 9 jersey on Feb. 23.

Andre Iguodala was NBA Finals MVP in 2015 and becomes the seventh player in team history to have his jersey retired. Andre Iguodala was named the 2015 NBA Finals MVP after helping the Warriors to their first title in 40 seasons.

Too Short's hip hop hit "Blow the Whistle" has officially become the unofficial song for the Super Bowl bound Philadelphia Eagles.  

Too Short celebrated at the home of Eagles super fan Gillie in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs over a week ago. 

After the NFC Championship Game Gillie celebrated in the locker room with the 2006 hit song. Expect the West Coast Oakland rapper to make some more appearances before Super Bowl LIX.

TV host Dr. Phil swapped his studio for the streets, embedding with ICE agents during a targeted operation in Chicago. He's broadcasting on Merit TV and his social media platforms.

Defending Trump’s deportation efforts, he said ICE is after 270 “high-value targets.” Dr. Phil met with Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan in an ICE Command Center.

Audacy’s KYW Newsradio (103.9 FM and 1060 AM) is gearing up to celebrate 60 years of its ongoing commitment to delivering trusted news to the Philadelphia area. To commemorate the diamond anniversary, the station will roll out a monthly series of special programming and initiatives throughout 2025.  

The station will kick off the year with updated 60th-anniversary imaging, on-air liners and fresh studio signage. In February, KYW Newsradio listeners can send “love notes” via the Audacy app’s voicemail feature and be featured on the station.

Audacy’s 670 The Score (WSCR-AM) in Chicago is proud to announce Heritage Restaurant & Caviar Bar as the winner of its annual “Score Big For Your Business” contest. The station will award the restaurant a thirty-second commercial during the station’s broadcast of the Super Bowl on February 9. 

The competition, which ran from December 30 to January 19, aims to leverage its on-air reach to help a local business brand, rebuild, or grow.
