Boom 107.9 (WPHI) replaces the Urban/Hip Hop format of Hot 107.9 in Philadelphia. The station is positioning itself as “Throwback Hip Hop.” The station will play core artists such as Jay Z, Biggie, 2Pac, Dr. Dre, Missy Elliott, and The Roots. Radio Personality Kendra G has been added to the lineup at V-103 (WVEE) Atlanta. She will be heard on the weekends along with fill-in shifts for now. She was last on the air in Philadelphia at the former 100.3 The Beat and Hot 107.9 (WPHI).
