Streetz 103.3 is the NEW Hip Hop Station in Charlotte

Taking its cue from Atlanta sister station, Streetz 103.3 has launched in Charlotte. The station is using “We Are Hip Hop” as its imaging. The station is operated by Steve Hegwood, the former Radio One VP,  and his company Core Communicators. The “Streetz” brand is not only on in Atlanta but also in Little Rock. The new Streetz 103.3 is doing cross promotion currently with Streetz 94.5 its Atlanta area station’s Streetz Fest on April 26. Atlanta’s Hip Hop station Streetz 94.5 brings in The Breakfast Club with DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God for mornings. The radio show syndicates from Clear Channel station Power 105.1 in New York City and will also broadcast on Sean Diddy Comb’s cable music channel Revolt TV. Streetz 94.5 released veteran Atlanta personality Rashan Ali along with co-host comedian/comedienne(?) Miss Sophia. The Breakfast Club will start on Monday, March 31 from 5:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Streetz and 6-10 on Revolt. Claims Tyler Perry’s “Madea” Character is based on his act Miss Sophia the alter ego of comedian Joe Taylor has returned to morning radio on Atlanta’s new Hip Hop station Streetz 94.5. She joins morning host Rashan Ali on The Morning Grind. Streetz 94.5 has only been in existence since the summer of 2012, but has garnered a respectable ratings among the younger demo of 18-34 listeners.
