> Christine Beatty pleads guilty to two felony counts in the text messaging scandal in Detroit on Monday. Christine Beatty, former top aide and undercover lover to disgraced Detroit Mayor Kwame M. Kilpatrick, has agreed to serve a 120-day jail term and five years probation, according to the Detroit Free Press. Beatty will be sentenced on January 5, 2009, for her part in the 2007 text-message sex scandal that resulted in two police officers’ dismal from the force.
